Anonymous Donor Pledges $14,000 Scholarship for the 8th Consecutive Year

For the eighth consecutive year, an anonymous donor is providing a scholarship to a Chico High graduate who will attend California State University, Chico in Fall 2012 and major in Engineering.

The scholarship is $14,000 and distributed over 2 years. These scholarships have enriched the lives of CHS grads and provided them with the opportunity to attend a four year university. Meet the first two recipients and learn how this scholarship impacted their lives.

Fifty-two varsity head coaches, three hundred alumni, and friends who attended the Coaches' Reunion dinner on Saturday, August 21enjoyed many hugs and even more smiles together! The CHS Foundation board extends its sincere appreciation to the coaches, donors, alumni and guests for making the dinner such a resounding success and for supporting the CHS athletic department. Mindi Bach reflects on a career in sports journalism that started at Chico High

Many high school athletes undoubtedly dream of becoming professional athletes, or at least reaching the big-time college level of competition. Statistically, few make it.

Even so, some people have the extraordinary opportunity to still be involved with major college and professional sports— not as athletes, but as observers and commentators. They’re living the dream and getting paid to do it.
