Fundraising Updates
The Chico High School Foundation Board is very pleased to announce that we have recently received a total of $50,683 to support various programs and student scholarships at Chico High School. The money came in the form of individual donations from parents, CHS staff and members of the community, proceeds from the Alumni Recognition Dinner held on September 29th at the Sierra Nevada Brewery, and a percentage share of the Annie B. funds administered by the North Valley Community Foundation. All of the monies raised will be directed to a specific fund as determined by each donor. Needless-to-say, the Board is extremely gratified and appreciative to have so many people in the community who are willing to support the students and staff at Chico High School.
A special note of appreciation to the North Valley Community Foundation for organizing an excellent Annie B. fundraiser for all the community non-profit organizations, to Claudia Steel who generously endowed the art department with a permanent source of income to enrich student art experiences, and to an anonymous donor who gave a $12,000 scholarship to support a student entering the CSUC engineering program next fall.
