Annual Dinner & Recognition Ceremony

During the year listed, an alumnus of the year and a “Friend” who has supported CHS in a special way will be recognized. For the upcoming year, the Board wishes to recognize an individual who has earned local, national and/or international acclaim as an artist, musician, actor, or dancer. We also want to recognize an individual who has made significant contributions to advance the arts at the school. If you care to nominate someone for this distinguished award, please contact any Board member.

Building Our Community

)n Thursday, September 24th the Chico High School Foundation Board will host the sixth annual “Alumnus of the Year” recognition dinner in the Big Room at the Sierra Nevada Brewery. The dinner will begin at 6:00pm.
The theme of the dinner recognition ceremony will be “Building Our Community” and four outstanding graduates will be recognized as “Alumnus of the Year” for their contributions in making Chico a much better place to live for all of us.

Those being recognized will be Pete Giampaoli (65) owner of Epick homes; Jim Jessee (66) president of Community Housing Improvement Program (CHIP); Howard Slater (66) owner of Slater and Sons; and Stan Thompson (70) owner of Best Way Painters. Bob and Suzy Roach will also be recognized as “Friends of Chico High School.”
